The Grand Bahama Artists Association was founded in 1994 by a small group of local artists. Over the years the membership has increased to about 30 members and has become multinational with each member contributing his/her own distinct artistic style.
The artists produce wooden sculptures; create paintings of oil, acrylic, pencil, and watercolor; plus sequined tapestries and hand-made paper collages. All of the pieces are original works of art which can be viewed in the Glory Banks Gallery at the Rand Memorial Nature Centre.
